These pillars were cool -- the brick is unfired in a sort of adobe-type way. The red dirt of this region forms
a hard brick because of the iron in the soil. You can see it a bit more clearly on the right. I had fun taking lots of pictures here. This is probably the most "tourist" picture-taking I did. But it was fun catching the history and the really beautiful architecture.
