The ancient capital had moats all around it. This one had cool lotus flowers. This capital was on the border between the Lanna kingdoms to the north and the Auttaya kingdoms to the south. The guide explained all the history and architectural styles in an interesting way. He also related th
e styles to Burmese and Cambodian and Indian influences. I like these lotus flowers. I remember the pond at Manorom. We drove past a road sign to there too. I took a LOT of flower pictures, but haven't included them in this blog because they aren't the story of our trip. There are some beauties though.
